Do I need to be super fit to ride an electric mountain bike?
Our Electric Mountain Bikes are for every level of fitness. The rider is able to vary the level of assistance from the motor meaning they can decide how hard or easy they want the ride to be.
How do i know if i will be able to ride an electric mountain bike?
There is a video on our website we recommend you watch that shows you how our Electric Mountain Bikes work and how to ride the bike so you can have an enjoyable days riding.
When we deliver or you collect your Electric Mountain Bike we will answer any questions you might have on how the bikes work.
How old do i need to be to hire your electric mountain bikes?
Legally in the UK you need to be 14 years of age to ride an Electric Mountain Bike on the road.
We will only hire our Electric Mountain Bikes to 14 – 17 year olds providing they are accompanied by someone aged 18 or over.
All bikes hired to 14 – 17 year olds will be the responsibility of the person over the age of 18. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full details.
How far can I go on your electric mountain bikes?
All our bikes are supplied with a fully charged battery so you should easily be able to enjoy 30-40 miles of cycling during a days hire.
This will depend on the terrain, the level of battery assistance used and how fast the rider wants to cover the ground.
All the suggested routes we provide can easily be covered during a days hire.
If you feel that you wish to cover more distance during your days hire then please contact us as we may be able to supply you with an additional fully charged battery.
How do I charge the battery if I’m hiring a bike for more than one day?
We will provide you with a charger so you can charge the battery overnight. A full battery charge takes between x and y hours so you will be ready to enjoy a full days riding the next morning.
Where am I allowed to ride an electric mountain bike?
You are allowed to ride an Electric mountain Bike anywhere that you are allowed to ride a regular bike. So public roads, bike paths and bridleways.
Do you supply helmets?
We supply helmets with all of our bikes at no extra cost. Of course, if you have your own helmet you are free to use during your hire period.
How will I know where to go?
You are free to use our Electric Mountain Bikes wherever you want to ride during your hire period.
We can supply you with a number of pre-selected routes that you can download to your phone. Our routes have been carefully selected to take in the breath-taking local area with suggested stop off points for a bite to eat or a photo opportunity to make your day even more memorable.
What do i need to bring?
We advise you wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear such as trainers to ride your Electric Mountain Bike.
You should have a supply of drinks and snacks for your ride as well as any medication you require such as inhalers.
We will provide you with a helmet, bike lock, a basic first aid kit, a tool to allow you to adjust the seat height and a puncture repair kit.
What do I do if I get a puncture?
All of our Electric Mountain Bikes are fitted with tubeless tyres which means punctures are few and far between resulting in more carefree riding time for you. However, if you suffer a puncture that doesn't seal we will supply you with a puncture kit, pump and instruction on how to fix it. However, if you have a puncture you can't seem to fix you can of course call us.
What happens if the bike gets a mechanical fault?
All of our Electric Mountain Bikes are brand new for 2023 and regularly serviced so in the very unlikely event you do experience a mechanical fault we will be on hand via phone or a video call to get you back riding again. If we are unable to do so and the issue is not the riders fault then we will recover you and the bike from your location and offer you a full refund.
